Introduction
The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR), through its Department of Rural Water Supply (DRWS), has received funding from the Government of Lesotho to procure the rehabilitation of water supply systems and sanitation infrastructure in Mafeteng District in response to drought conditions. Competent contractors are invited to submit tenders for this project.
Work Description
This tender involves the rehabilitation of rural water supply systems and sanitation facilities in Mafeteng District. Full specifications and requirements are detailed in the Tender Documents.
Bidder Qualifications
• Must be registered in DRWS Category B
• Must be a registered company in Lesotho
• Must submit a Bid Security of M20,000.00 in the form of a bank guarantee valid for 120 days
Tender Submission
• Tender documents are available at the DRWS Accounts Office, Maseru
• Availability: From Friday, 27 June 2025 to Friday, 21 July 2025
• Fee: M3,000.00 (non-refundable), payable in cash
• Receipt must be presented to the Procurement Unit to collect the Tender Document
• Submission Deadline: 30 July 2025 at 10:00 AM

– One (1) original
– Four (4) copies
– One (1) soft copy
– Sealed financial proposal

Compliance Requirements
All bidders must be compliant with Lesotho Government tax obligations. The following certified documents must be submitted:
• DRWS Certificate (certified at source)
• Trader’s License
• VAT Certificate
• Tax Clearance Certificate
Pre-Tender Meeting
A compulsory pre-tender meeting will be held on 16 July 2025 at 10:00 AM at the DRWS Khubetsoana Resource Centre.
Site Visits
Site visits are not compulsory.
Tender Opening
Bids will be opened on 30 July 2025 at 10:30 AM at the DRWS Office, Khubetsoana Resource Centre, in the presence of bidders or their representatives who wish to attend.
