Office of the Prime Minister invites tenders from locally registered security companies for the provision of Security Services at the Prime Minister’s Offices (DMA, FMU and PReP) for financial year ending 31st March 2020 (starting from 01 July 2018 to 31 March 2020).
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Tender documents are obtainable from the Prime Minister’s office, Qhobosheaneng, Procurement Unit, ground floor, in any office of procurement.
All submitted documents must bear official date stamp of the bidder and the physical addresses, telephone/cell numbers. The signature of a senior official responsible for the bid must appear on the Certificate of Bona Fide.
Prices should include all relevant and essential non-avoidable cost components such as transport, inflationary factors, etc. Duly completed tenders in sealed envelopes, clearly marked “TENDER FOR SECURITY SERVICES AT THE PRIME MINISTER’S OFFICE AND LOT NUMBER “should bear no identification of the bidder on the outside of the envelope. BIDDING FOR ALL LOTS IS ALLOWED BUT EACH LOT SHOULD BE IN ITS ENVELOP.

Tenders must be placed in the tender box at the Office of the Prime Minister ground floor not later than 1330hrs, on the 23rd May 2018 after which tenders will be publicly opened on the same day at 1430hrs, in the Government Secretary’s Boardroom, 2nd floor. The acceptance of the bid will not be based on low – price. Nevertheless, the reasons for acceptance and rejection will be explained during debriefing session. All prospective suppliers are obliged to establish their tax – compliance and licensed trading by attaching them to their bids, a copy of a traders and a copy of a VAT Clearance Certificate, both certified by issuing authorities.

- Two – way radios or other means of communication must be included for timely response during emergencies.
- Installation of surveillance cameras around the warehouse will be an added advantage.
- The tender price must be inclusive of Value Added Tax.
The contractor must also undertake the responsibility for loss or destruction of property which the client may suffer as a result of negligence on the part of the contractor.
