MASERU DISTRICT COUNCIL
INVITATION TO TENDER NO: MDC/RWS/2/2020/2021
The Ministry of Local Government and Chieftainship (MoLGC) – Maseru District Council has received funds from the Government of Lesotho and intends to apply these funds for Maintenance of Rural Water Supply Projects at Kubake A09 Community Council and Mazenod A06 Community Council in Maseru District. Therefore, contractors who possess Rural Water Supply category C are invited to tender for the above works for year ending 31st March 2021.
TENDER FEE
Tender documents are available at Maseru District Council (Procurement unit) at a non-refundable fee of M2, 000.00 (Two Thousand Maloti Only) payable during working hours (from 09:30 to 15:00 hrs.) from the 18th August 2020 in the Accounts office. Tender documents will be provided to the potential bidder upon provision of receipt from Accounts office by the District Council Procurement Unit.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Bid Security
Submission of 1% bid security (per lot) from the bank or institution recognized by Central Bank of Lesotho.
Tender Conditions
A Contractor or Company who shall be awarded contract for Tender No. MDC/RWS/1/2020/2021 is not eligible for the tender No. MDC/RWS/2/2020/2021.
Performance Guarantee
Successful bidder is expected to provide 10% performance guarantee before entering into a contract. It has to be from the bank or Financial Institution recognized by the Central Bank of Lesotho.
Site visits
Site visit is compulsory and is on 03rd September 2020 at Kubake A09 and 04th September 2020 at Mazenod A06

Tender Issuance and Submission
The issue date for this tender is 18th August 2020, andthe closing date is 29th September 2020. Original and four hard copies of the tender responses are to be delivered to the Procurement UnitMaseru District Council’s Tender Box situated at the Department of Rural Roads (DRR) Building, Main North 1, Khubetsoananot later than 10:00 a.m. 29th September 2020. The envelope containing financial and technical proposal, the required company information and other required attachments shall be marked clearly with the words, TENDER FOR MAINTENANCE OF RURAL WATER SUPPLY PROJECTS – MDC/RWS/2/2020/2021.
Tenders will be opened in the presence of bidders or representatives at 10:05 a.m. on the same day at Maseru District Council’s boardroom.
