Under the framework of the national ReNOKA program, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in partnership with the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police in Lesotho is looking for a reputable consultation firm from the SADC region and Lesotho with 3 experts to support the development of a spatial data infrastructure framework, arial photography standards along with national projections and coordinates system standardisation.
🔎 Scope of work
✔️ Investigate Lesotho’s readiness to establish a national spatial data infrastructure with all its components, policies and institutional arrangements, people, data and technology.
✔️ Review, develop, and implement standardized protocols for the use of aerial photography and drone applications in various sectors.
✔️ Review, propose, and implement best practices for projections and coordinate systems in Lesotho and transforming the current to Hartebeesthoek94 Datum (Hart94).
The assignment aims for a coherent data governance system whose objective is to establish geospatial data-sharing policies, standards, and harmonising geospatial data compatibility.
