Tender Title: Construction of Buy-Back Centres at Maputsoe Urban Council
1. Scope of Works
Construction of Buy-Back Centres as detailed in the bidding documents.
2. Funding Source
This project is funded by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in collaboration with UNIDO.
3. Eligibility Criteria
Open to registered building contractors in Category C and D as per BDS classification. Bidders must have:
- Valid contractor registration
- Valid tax clearance certificate
- Valid trader’s license
- Proven experience in similar works
4. Compulsory Site Visit
- Date: Wednesday, 15 October 2025
- Time: Departure at 10:00 hrs
- Location: Maputsoe Urban Council
- Note: Attendance is mandatory
5. Bid Security
Bidders must submit a Bid Security equal to 1% of the tender price, in the form of:
- Bank-certified cheque, or
- Guarantee from a recognized financial institution in Lesotho
6. Submission & Opening of Bids
- Submission Deadline: Wednesday, 5 November 2025 at 10:00 hrs
- Opening Time: Same day at 10:30 hrs
- Location: Hlotse Urban Council
- Format:
- One (1) original
- Four (4) copies
- Sealed packets with no bidder identification
- Clearly marked:
“CONSTRUCTION OF BUY-BACK CENTRES AT MAPUTSOE URBAN COUNCIL”
7. Mandatory Documents
Bidders must include the following:
- Completed and signed Letter of Bid
- Power of Attorney to sign the bid
- Lump sum bid with priced schedule of main activities or bill of quantities
- Bid security in required format and validity
- Certificate of site inspection
- Certified copy of valid tax clearance certificate (at source)
- Certified copy of valid trader’s license (at source)
- Technical proposal including:
- Method statement
- Activity schedule
- Equipment and human resource deployment
- Valid contractor registration certificate (certified at source)
8. Tender Document Fee
- Amount: M2,000.00 (non-refundable)
- Payment Deadline: On or before 31 October 2025
- Payment Location: Accounts Office
