Overview
SUN JV is the contractor responsible for the construction of the Polihali Dam under Phase II of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project. The works include construction of a concrete-faced rockfill dam at Polihali, a saddle dam, and a gravity tunnel connecting Polihali Reservoir to Katse Reservoir.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions:
Position: Temporary Works Designer / Structural Engineer (1 Position)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Valid ECSA registration as a Structural Engineer
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in temporary works design, inspection, and approval in construction or infrastructure projects
Additional Requirements
- Strong knowledge of CR12(1), formwork, falsework, and support systems
- Competence in temporary works design verification, inspections, and technical documentation
- Knowledge of health and safety compliance
- Submission of ECSA certificate and competency documentation is mandatory
- Experience in large infrastructure projects will be an added advantage
