SUN JV (a joint venture among SINOHYDRO BUREAU 8 CO., LTD, SINOHYDRO BUREAU 14 CO., LTD., UNIK CIVIL ENGINEERING PTY LTD., and NTHANE BROTHERS PTY LTD.) is the Contractor for the Construction of Polihali Dam and Appurtenant Works under the Lesotho Highlands Water Project – Phase II.
The scope of work includes construction of a concrete-faced rockfill dam at Polihali, approximately 1 km downstream of the confluence of the Khubelu and Senqu (Orange) Rivers, a saddle dam, and a gravity tunnel connecting Polihali Reservoir to Katse Reservoir.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions:
Temporary Works Designer (CR12(1)) (x1)
Position Overview
Responsible for design, inspection, and approval of all formwork, falsework, and temporary works ensuring CR12(1) compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with Construction Regulation 12
• Verify competency and ECSA-registration of temporary works designers
• Manage temporary works documentation, approvals, and inspections
• Maintain stakeholder coordination
• Ensure safety in temporary structural systems
Qualifications & Experience
• Registered Structural Engineer (ECSA)
• Minimum 5 years’ temporary works management experience
• Strong understanding of CR12(1) requirements
• Excellent coordination and technical documentation capability
Competencies
• Leadership and safety enforcement
• Technical expertise in structural support systems
