Salary: £59,756 p.a + benefits        

We have an outstanding opportunity for a Temporary Trade Specialist, in the Commonwealth Connectivity Agenda (CCA) Section in our Trade, Oceans and Natural Resources Directorate.

The successful candidate will support the Connectivity Agenda’s workstream on digital trade and the digital economy by supporting member states as they work together in these areas. The successful candidate will also support the development of a digital policymaking tool.

Other responsibilities entailed in this role include (but are not limited to):

  • Supporting the development of a digital policymaking tool for Commonwealth policymakers;
  • Supporting the virtual Cluster meetings and other related meetings under the CCA;
  • Preparing technical notes to assist the work of the Clusters;
  • Preparing and delivering written reports, papers, briefings and oral presentations.

To be considered you must have a degree in trade, economics, business administration, industrial organisation or a related area, and at least five years’ relevant experience working on international trade.
