Position Title: Temporary Plumber

Reports to: Operations Manager

Location: Maseru with travel and stay to all PIHL facilities

Engagement Period: 4 months

Terms of Reference (ToR) for Plumber

Position Overview

The selected individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning of water supply and drainage systems, contributing to the overall safety and hygiene of all PIHL facilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Inspection and troubleshooting of plumbing issues.
  • Collaborating with other maintenance and facility staff to ensure seamless operation of services.
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations related to plumbing work.
  • Timely response to plumbing emergencies.
  • Prepare material quantities for proposed water and sewerage reticulation network within health centers
  • Install and repair building water and sewerage systems

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience as a plumber, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Relevant certification or licensure in plumbing from recognized institution.
  • Knowledge of hospital plumbing codes and standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.

  • Physical fitness and stamina for hands-on plumbing tasks.
