JOB SUMMARY |
Under general supervision of the Head of Programme, the Temporary Lecturer is responsible for teaching and monitoring of students as well as monitoring them on industrial attachment. Conducts curriculum review, internal examination moderation, and also assists in the overall development of the programme. |
RESPONSIBILITIES |
The key duties of the post are as follows :- Prepares lessons and/or training materials, delivers lectures and/or conducts practical and studio work sessions for 20 to 24 hours per week; Assists the Head of Programme for the development of the programme; Conducts tests and examinations for assessments and keep updated records; Monitors students on industrial attachment to obtain feedback on their progress; Participates in curriculum review; Facilitating departmental community engagement projects; Assistance with administrative and other duties as prescribed by the Head of Department or Representative as delegated; Facilitating departmental research and publications; and Contributes in the internal moderation of examination papers. NB* Because of the changing nature of our business your job description will inevitably change. You will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directedby management. |
JOB SPECIFICATION |
QUALIFICATIONS BSc. in Architecture or Architectural Studies, or B. Tech in Architectural Technology or equivalent EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS Two (2) years professional working experience Two (2) years teaching experience in tertiary level will be an added advantage. KNOWLWDGE AND SKILLS BIM Graphisoft ArchiCAD Adobe Photoshop Adobe Ilustrator Physical Model Marking Drafting and Template creation Sketching Personal attributes Self motivated Good interpersonal Skills Ability to work with minimum supervision Be able to work with students from different backgrounds Be willing to supervise students for activities outside the class (eg. sports) HOW TO APPLY Interested and suitably qualified candidates should hand-deliver their detailed applications to the LP Human Resources Office which is situated at the Administration 1 Building.
