Job Summary
The Temporary Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing visually compelling and impactful designs that support the Commission’s communication, branding, and public engagement objectives. The incumbent will create high-quality digital and print materials, ensure consistency in the organization’s visual identity, and collaborate with various departments to produce creative communication products within agreed timelines.
The role requires a creative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual who can manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards of design excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design high-quality marketing and communication materials for digital and print platforms.
- Develop creative concepts and visual solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Create brand identities and ensure consistent application across all communication channels.
- Design brochures, annual reports, presentations, advertisements, social media content, infographics, banners, and promotional materials.
- Produce creative assets for websites, email campaigns, and digital marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop engaging campaigns.
- Prepare artwork for professional printing and digital publishing.
- Maintain and evolve brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high design standards.
- Stay current with industry trends, design technologies, and emerging creative practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional graphic design experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, branding, editorial design, digital content, and marketing materials.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, colour theory, composition, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience preparing artwork for both digital and print production.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
