JOB VACANCY: TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION MANAGER
Tracker Lesotho is seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking Technology & Innovation Manager to lead the transformation of our technology, products and systems. This is a pivotal leadership role for a candidate who thrives on driving innovation, modernising systems and delivering reliable, customer-centric technology solutions.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance, the successful candidate will drive the development and continuous improvement of our vehicle tracking, fleet management and security solutions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS
Education & Qualifications:
- University degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Software Development, or a related field (preferred).
- Cybersecurity certification is an added advantage.
Experience and Technical & Leadership Skills:
- Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience in IT, technical operations, product management, vehicle tracking, fleet technology or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a managerial role.
- Proven experience working with software developers, technology vendors or other technical service providers.
- Experience in vehicle tracking, telematics, or related technology is an added advantage.
- Willingness to undertake cross-border travel for training and supplier visits.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, networks, software and technology infrastructure.
- Ability to manage and monitor the performance, availability and reliability of technology-based products and systems.
- Ability to translate customer and business requirements into practical product and technical solutions.
- Ability to develop and maintain technical, product and infrastructure documentation.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Technology & Innovation Leadership: Lead the modernisation of legacy systems and drive the development of innovative technology solutions that strengthen the market position.
- Product Development: Oversee the management and continuous improvement of vehicle tracking, fleet management and security products.
- Implementation & Monitoring: Lead the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of product and technical plans.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance), software developers and technology providers to support product development.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote innovation, efficiency and continuous improvement across product and technical functions.
