The candidate will hierarchically report to the Project Manager and will be responsible for all technical and engineering services in the site. He/she will be the head figure of the site’s Technical Office. All managers of the site’s Lab, Topographic, Planning and Design sections will report to him/her. Main tasks and responsibilities:
•    Coordinating the activities of the technical office and of the design firm responsible for designing the works and temporary activities;
•    Managing the preparation activities of the drawings related to the temporary works (road accesses, plant platforms, etc.) and of the construction drawings of the permanent works, in full compliance with the drawings of the executive project; 
•    Checking all the technical documents issued by the Client and third parties, guaranteeing that all data is complete and that it complies with the contractual specifications;
•    Drawing-up all technical documents (construction methods, site procedures) according to contractual specifications, and also managing the final submission for the Client’s approval according to contractual planning;
•    Keeping a register of all changes/approvals making sure that construction drawings include them all;
•    Assisting the Procurement Department for any technical information required that concerns buying materials and/or services also checking that these materials and services comply with the contractual requirements;
•    Approving, for what falls under one’s area of responsibility, the technical specifications and documentation concerning the purchase of supplies and the subcontracts;
•    Guaranteeing that topographic measurements are carried out both during works and when they are completed, to draw-up project as-built documents;  
•    Guaranteeing that all geo-technical checks concerning temporary works and non-temporary works are carried out;
•    Monitoring the Planning Department, checking that the finishing dates correspond to the ones foreseen in the contract;
•    Assisting the Site Management to check the activities’ advancement status and draw-up, where required internal coordination reports;
•    Assisting the Site Management to draw-up monthly certificates by fully collaborating with the departments involved; 
•    Carrying out specific tasks for the role in line with the quality specifications set by the QAS Manual and corporate procedures.


Requirements:

•    Minimum 10/15 years’ experience as a site technical service managerregarding complex infrastructure projects that include building bridges;
•    In-depth knowledge of construction techniques (espescially related to building reinforced concrete structures); 
•    Excellent English skills
•    Civil Engineering Degree (preferably with a “structural” specialization)
