Technical Service & Support Technician (Printing Equipment)
Job Purpose
The Technical Service & Support Technician (Printing Equipment) is responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing large‑format printing equipment while providing technical support to clients and assisting the sales function. The role ensures optimal machine performance, minimises downtime, and supports customer satisfaction and revenue generation.
Reporting Line
- Reports to: CEO
- Works closely with: Sales (Business Development Representative – Sales Lead), Operations/Production Team, and external stakeholders
Role Context
Following a strategic partnership, the organisation is expanding its offering to include large‑format printing solutions. This role is critical to ensuring:
- Successful installation of equipment

The position is field‑based and hands‑on, requiring regular travel to client sites.

Equipment Installation and Setup
Outcomes
- Successful and timely installation of printing equipment
- Fully functional machines at client sites
Responsibilities
- Install and configure printing machines at client locations
- Test equipment to ensure proper functionality
- Provide basic user setup and system configuration
- Ensure installations meet quality and safety standards
Maintenance and Technical Support

- Minimal machine downtime
- Efficient resolution of technical issues
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing of equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical faults
- Repair or replace faulty components
- Respond to client service requests in a timely manner
Client Support and Training

- Train clients on proper use and basic machine maintenance
- Provide on‑site and remote technical support

Qualifications and Experience
Essential Requirements
- National Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
- Technical or vocational (TVET) qualifications with strong practical experience will be considered
- Minimum of 1–2 years’ hands‑on experience in equipment installation, maintenance, or technical support
