Purpose of the job
To carry out maintenance and repair works of plumbing on all sanitations, flashings, sheet metal, geysers, leakages, blockages, gutters and down-pipes, brazing, fire sprinklers and piping etc.

Main Duties:

  1. To carry out maintenance and repair works of sanitations, fleshings, sheet metal, geysers, leakages, blockages, gutters and down-pipes, brazing, fire sprinklers and piping etc.

1.1. Assesses complaint
1.2. Collects and prepares material for maintenance
1.3. Maintains/repairs.
1.4. Paints repaired works.

  1. Prepare monthly reports on work done
    2.1. Collect data on the job done and compile a report
  2. To supervise jobs done by junior staff
    3.1. Supervises the junior staff on site
    3.2. Monitors the job done
    3.3. Inspects completed jobs
  3. To appraise the performance of staff
    4.1. Supports junior staff to develop work plans
    4.2. Monitors and evaluates performance
  4. To handle grievance and disciplinary cases
    5.1. Discipline junior staff
    5.2. Resolve grievances

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Certificate in Plumbing sheet metal plus 5 years experience OR Trade test B certificate of the relevant field plus 3 years working experience.

OR
Trade test C certificate of the relevant field plus 5 years experience.

COMPETENCIES:
Ability to read plans, drawing, technical manual and material specifications

Computer literacy
Ability to work as a team Must be Safety conscious
Be prepared to work beyond normal working hours (preferably stay at the Airpot’s staff house
Ability to communicate orally and in writing, Ability to work without close supervision
