Technical Drawing & Industrial Designer
Location: Maseru, Lesotho
Reports to: Workshop Supervisor
Kaze Industrial Works is looking for a talented Technical Drawing & Industrial Designer to join our engineering and manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a creative professional with strong technical drawing skills and experience in industrial product and fabrication design.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings for manufacturing.
- Design sheet metal, structural steel, and custom industrial products.
- Produce detailed fabrication and assembly drawings with dimensions and material specifications.
- Develop design concepts from client requirements and engineering briefs.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.
- Maintain drawing revisions, bills of materials (BOMs), and project documentation.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ relevant experience in technical drawing and industrial design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and at least one 3D CAD package (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar).
- Strong understanding of fabrication, machining, welding, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work independently.
