Specification
The Technical Advisor: Paediatric HIV Care and Treatment is responsible for providing guidance and expertise on Best Clinical Practice in Facilities to optimize the capacity of Facility Staff to provide comprehensive, integrated HIV and TB Programmes through a systematic quality improvement approach.

Technical Work Responsibilities

Liaise with External and Internal Customers/Stakeholders
Apply knowledge and expertise on HIV prevention, care and treatment
Apply medical knowledge and expertise
Health System Strengthening
Provide clinical and technical support to Aurum staff, MOH staff and other partners’ staff
Support implementation of differentiated service delivery models. 
Assessment, training, mentoring and quality improvement support 
Formulate “Best Practice” Policy and standardized Programmatic Guidelines aligned to Government Standards, which will be implemented consistently in all Aurum-Supported Districts
Analysis and reporting
Support direct service delivery efforts 

   
Requirements
Qualification

Medical degree (MBChB or equivalent)
Postgraduate degree or diploma in HIV Management
Advantageous
Masters’ degree in Public Health 
Postgraduate degree or diploma in Health Management 
Certificate in Project Management
Lesotho citizen or permanent resident.

Work Experience:

5 years’ experience in clinical management of HIV/AIDS and TB
At least 2 years’ experience in the field of HIV/TB project management
At least 2 years’ experience in the Public Health sector
Experience in managing children and adolescent on ART 
Thorough knowledge of the concepts, principles, analytical techniques and operations of Health Systems
Demonstrable thorough understanding of the Lesotho Health system, policies and guidelines
Demonstrable knowledge of HIV/AIDS and TB
Substantial progressive, professional-level experience at Management level in Health Systems-Strengthening


Other Requirements:
Valid registration as a Medical Officer
