Job Description
To manage and control financial and administrative aspects of the Bank, ensuring that transactions are procured and processed in terms of the laid down procedures generally acceptable accounting standards and parameters of the bank.
- Monitor and ensure that balancing and reconciliation of the Suspense and Balance sheet accounts under the control of OPC are adhered to as per OPC processes and FNBL Policy.
- No rolling items in suspense accounts.
- Ensure all Online banking and Bank cheques are balanced daily.
- Ensure that OTPs are actioned correctly
- Ensure that General Ledger entries are received daily from branches and that signatures are verified against the branch signature list.
- Ensure all work is completed daily and all filing is up to date
- Claims are checked and loaded correctly for unclaimed monies.
- ATM queries are attended on time.
- Scrutinizing bid security letters.
- All FX balancing is done.
- GL accounts matched Daily, closing wasp and monthly reporting on mybi.
- Assist with the financial performance of OPC Lesotho.
- Detect areas to prevent internal fraud.
- Management of cost (Stationery/ Telephone over/under time.
- Ensure that audit is acceptable.
- Teamwork liaises closely with fellow team members.
- Share knowledge and information.
- View difficulties as challenges, retain optimism despite setbacks.
- Spot check ATM Web Balancing to see that they do not have losses.
- Spot check that entries are filled correctly.
