Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure completeness and maintenance of the fixed asset book.
  • Identify discrepancies between fixed assed book and physical assets.
  • Manage storage and disposal of redundant/obsolete assets.
  • Perform a monthly reconciliation between asset register and general ledger.
  • Perform reconciliation of transport equipment on the fixed asset register to the external tracker report.
  • Ensure that the depreciation calculation is correct and in terms of the accounting policy of UJ and in compliance with IFRS.
  • Ensure that depreciation expense is accounted for in the correct financial year.
  • Liaise with Oracle Consultants on reports needed, changes required by users and discrepancies on reports.
  • Relevant National Diploma in Finance/Accounting with 3 – 5 years job related experience
  • Grade 12 withFinance/Accounting with 8 – 10 years job related experience.

  • Good computer literacy (MSOffice Suite, Advanced Excel)
  • Must have strong interpersonal relationships
  • Must be an analytical and critical thinker
  • Must be honest, reliable and a team player.
  • Must display a positive and professional image
