Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Ensure completeness and maintenance of the fixed asset book.
- Identify discrepancies between fixed assed book and physical assets.
- Manage storage and disposal of redundant/obsolete assets.
- Perform a monthly reconciliation between asset register and general ledger.
- Perform reconciliation of transport equipment on the fixed asset register to the external tracker report.
- Ensure that the depreciation calculation is correct and in terms of the accounting policy of UJ and in compliance with IFRS.
- Ensure that depreciation expense is accounted for in the correct financial year.
- Liaise with Oracle Consultants on reports needed, changes required by users and discrepancies on reports.
- Relevant National Diploma in Finance/Accounting with 3 – 5 years job related experience
- Grade 12 withFinance/Accounting with 8 – 10 years job related experience.

- Must have knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and applications in relation to management of assets.
- Must have knowledge and understanding of procure to pay processes

- Good computer literacy (MSOffice Suite, Advanced Excel)
- Must have strong interpersonal relationships
- Must be an analytical and critical thinker
- Must be honest, reliable and a team player.
- Must display a positive and professional image
