The Role

We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Assistant to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. We are looking for eager, passionate & proactive individual.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in qualifying the hiring manager needs, setting expectations fairly and creating relevant documentation such as job descriptions and advertisements as required
  • Proactively target the market to identify and attract candidates to consider the Hitachi Vantara proposition
  • Qualify candidates, over the telephone and face-to-face, to accurately assess suitability for the role and cultural fit for the team and wider Hitachi Vantara business and core values
  • Present shortlists to talent acquisition team in a consultative manner adding real value to the recruitment process
  • Assist in all recruitment activities from assessment of hiring need, through candidate identification and qualification, manager interview scheduling and feedback, offer construction and delivery, resignation coaching, through to start date and handover to HR for onboarding
  • Play a role in projects to improve the customer experience, simplify or improve processes and identify new and more effective methods of working for success

Key Skills Knowledge and Experience

  • Previous in-house exposure is an advantage but by no means essential
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Capable of building strong relationships across all business functions and levels
