Position: Tailor or Seamstress × 2
Joachim Garments is looking for an experienced tailor with 5 years experience in similar role, to mend, alter and construct Garments and other fabric-made articles according to customer’s needs; replacing buttons, zippers, pockets, and linings, adding padding and shaping materials to garments. Modifying garments style according to customer’s specifications. Estimating costs of constructing various garments including taking in to account the time and materials required.
Core Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure customers to ensure proper fit of garments
- Ensure that sewing machine and all proper equipment are working properly.
- Altering or repairing customer’s garments and other articles which includes hemming, mending and lengthening as well as taking in letting out seams.
- Fitting garments on customers to determine how alterations should be done.
- Using irons and pressing machines to creases on garments and other articles.
