Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above post:
The Department offers the following degrees: B.Sc. Information Systems, B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Eng. Computer Systems and Networks (with Cisco Systems Certification Programme: CCNA 1, 2, 3 & 4) and general B.Sc. Computer Science double major with subjects like Mathematics, Statistics and Physics.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
A Second Class, Second Division (i.e. 2(ii)) in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Computer Systems and Networks. Related ICT degrees may be considered.
Experience in systems development will be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Write shell/systems scripts to automate the OS functionalities (when requested or required).
Research, install, (open source) software to maintain the OS platform operational.
Develop code (snippets/modules) under supervision by designated staff member or Computer Science coordinator for developing a system being undertaken by the department or for modifying a system that has already
been developed by the department.
Assist in the maintenance and support of the systems developed by the department.
Perform other duties, including administrative, assisting in laboratories and tutorials, as would be required by the department.

The University offers salaries and other benefits commensurate with
qualifications and experience.
Employment type:
Renewable two-year contract.
