Post Title: Survey on Family Planning Service Delivery Point Consultancy

Duration: 30 working days
Duty station: UNFPA country office, Maseru
Organizational Context:
The UNFPA Supply program Lesotho supports the bi-annual survey on availability and stock status of contraceptives and maternal health medicine. Lesotho has been conducting Service Delivery Point (SDP) survey since 2014. The last SDP was in 2021. Therefore, UNFPA in support to the MOH is seeking the services of an individual consultant to carry out the Service Delivery Point (SDP) Survey on availability stock status of contraceptives and maternal health medicines during the month of September to October 2023.
Scope of work:
The consultant will ;
Work with UNFPA team and the MOH team on methodology that includes sampling , data collection tools and data analysis method.
Train data collectors on the tools and supervise data collection.
Analyse data and draft a data analysis report using the standard reporting template from UNFPA and share with RHCS TWG for inputs
Facilitate the stakeholder forum on the draft report and update accordingly
Submit the SDP Report and the presentation to MOH and UNFPA
Deliverables:
Inception report with Gantt chart of milestones and data analysis plan.
Updated data collection tools
Data collection supervision report
Draft report for stakeholder presentation
Final SDP Report with presentations and data set
Required skills and qualification:
Master degree in relevant discipline including public health, social science, health sciences
Experience with previous SDPs survey supervision and report writing is an asset
Relevant experience in data analysis and report writing
Excellent writing skills
Experience working with the UN will be an added advantage
Editing and formatting skills are highly required
