Supply Planner ( HRL 16 )
To manage the stock in the Supply Chain and extrapolating potential supply issues (over / under) by interacting with different department to ensure that stock capacities are managed within set tolerances. To manage a Sales & Operation Planning process by ensuring that supply of a specific product balances the demand requirements from both the mills and external customers. To manage a documentation register whereby all documents are supplied on-time. To highlight issues early to prevent demurrage claims and movements in line with the overall lift plan.
Reporting to: Senior Planning Manager
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and execution of demand plan for relevant units (Budget, Forecast, Consensus and reality)
- Analyse demand forecast to determine long and short-term bottle necks
- Develop 12 month rolling plan and future budget
- Manage sales and operations planning (S&OP) process (annually, quarterly, monthly and weekly)
- Balance Supply & Demand and highlight areas of concern to relevant parties (Procurement, Order Management, Logistics, Sales)
- Manage and update – Stock Overview by Portfolio(WIP & FG)
- Production planning and control of assigned units
- Interact with Logistics & Order Flow outstanding stock movements
- Interact with Mills on outstanding orders
- Interact with sales and notify potential supply issues early
- Stock reporting
- Pursue production efficiency in terms of schedule,grades,trim and WIP to achieve mill objectives in terms of profit
- Participate in and contribute to monthly IBP (integrated business planning) process
- Provide relevant reports on areas of planning responsibilities
- Update and maintain performance measures
- Maintain planning master data (Material Master)
- Report to management and relevant teams, long and short-term concerns meeting supply targets.
- Cross functional interaction with sales, order flow, logistics, procurement and relevant persons at the different mills.
- Lead or participate in Supply or Operations planning process improvements in terms of process and systems, SAP APO/R3/Xtrim & MES
- Develop and participate in planning system development / improvement
- Implementation and continuous improvement of supply chain process
The successful candidate would have :
- Three (3) year degree in supply chain or sales and marketing
- Three (3) years relevant mill / procurement experience
- Computer literate
- SAP – APO Modules advantageous
- Shipping & Clearing / Forwarding experience advantages
