What You Will Do:

  • New Product Introduction – review new product design for manufacturing ease and determine potential sourcing. Coordinate plant test schedules and with the divisions support launch strategies and timing.
  • Product Transfers – coordinate product sourcing changes with the divisions, R&D and the plants to minimize downstream issues with quality, service and costs.
  • Sales Forecasts – respond to changes in sales forecasts and new marketing strategies.
  • SKU Rationalization –support product rationalization opportunities and coordinates with the plants the implementation of rationalization decisions.
  • Inventory DOH – review inventory DOH and costs with divisions to assess areas for improvement. Control inventories to agreed parameters.
  • Product Cost Estimates – coordinate calculation of product costs requested by the divisions.
  • Optimize Operations sourcing through conducting product sourcing analyses and determining optimal supply chains. Initiate and implement Total Quality Improvement projects.
  • Monitor the backorder reports of the network locations on a daily basis. Prevent potential backorders by rerouting stock. Investigate and resolve existing backorders.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory service issues relating to product availability. Address manufacturing capacity issues as they occur.
  • Coordinate preparation of annual manufacturing and distribution budgets in terms of volumes and sourcing strategies.
  • Consolidate and control Manufacturing Planning Key Performance Indicator data (e.g. inventory, service) to assess divisional performance.
  • Monitors service delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and project delivery to ensure benefits are realized.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • University Degree preferably in Chemistry, Engineering, Food Science, or related field.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a related manufacturing environment. This includes the production of health and hygiene products, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, or other consumer-end use specialty chemicals. The experience should be in Planning, Manufacturing, Purchasing, or R&D
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Self-driven and results oriented.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Verbal/written communication skills.
