INVITATION TO TENDER NO: 03 Of 2025
Construction of Internal Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) and Multipurpose Hall
With the support of the International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC), the Lesotho Red Cross Society (LRCS) has initiated the construction of an Internal Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) and a multipurpose hall. This new facility is designed to significantly enhance LRCS’s capacity to anticipate, prevent, and reduce the impact of disasters across the country. The EOC will serve as a central hub, functioning as a satellite facility to monitor and capture risks associated with various types of disasters. By providing real-time data and risk assessments, the EOC will enable LRCS, in collaboration with its partners, to take proactive measures and respond swiftly before disasters strike.
The proposed EOC will be constructed using repurposed shipping containers and will be located at LRCS’s newly established headquarters. This innovative infrastructure is set to improve LRCS’s operational efficiency and strengthen its disaster management capabilities, ultimately ensuring a faster, more coordinated response to emergencies.
Contractor Engagement
LRCS is seeking to engage contractors with category B and C, located within the country, to supply it with the temporary office structure. The temporary office structures shall use the shipping containers at the project site (LRCS HQ at Maseru West). LRCS invites interested tenderers/suppliers, fulfilling the eligibility conditions and having the capacity and capability to carry out the project within the time and on the terms and conditions mentioned herein, to give their offers and submit their tenders for the item below.
Estimated Timetable
- Issue of Tender: 29th April 2025
- Deadline for Submission: 8th May 2025 (15:00/3:00 PM)
- Tender Opening: 9th May 2025 (10:00 AM)
- Evaluation of Offers (Estimated): 13th May 2025
- Issue of Contract (Estimated): 16th May 2025
The bidders will have to buy the tender document at the rate of Maloti 1,500.00 and should be paid before receiving the tender document. The tender document will be sent through email immediately after payment. The tender fee is non-refundable.
The tender document shall contain the Invitation to Tender, instructions to suppliers, specifications, and the terms & conditions. All documents can be requested from the Finance Office, Lesotho Red Cross Headquarters Office, Maseru West, Tonakholo Road, House no.2 between 29th April 2025 to 8th May 2025.
