INVITATION TO TENDER – Ref MEF/4/5/2/2025-26
Background
The Government of Lesotho has embarked on an ambitious national programme for integrated watershed management (IWM), the purpose of which is to address the interlinked issues of land degradation, livelihoods, food and water security in critical catchments across the country. Integrated Watershed Management for improved agro-pastoral livelihoods in the Sebapala sub-catchment is a full NIM (National Implementation Modality) project implemented by Ministry of Environment and Forestry. Under this arrangement the Ministry is responsible for among others procurement of goods and services and financial matters.
This programme/project promotes catchment-wide planning and community-driven action at sub-catchment level to ensure integrated management of land and water resources. The objective of the project is to mainstream sustainable rangeland management and restoration of watersheds to combat land degradation, enhance the flow of agro-ecosystem goods and services and improve the livelihoods of agro-pastoral communities.
In this context, tenders are invited from interested and suitably qualified companies and suppliers for Supply of Forest and Fruit Trees at Sebapala Project under the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
Tender documents will be obtained from the Procurement Office at Post Office Building, 6th Floor, during office hours from 12th May, 2025.
Submission of tender should be on or before 9:00 AM on 12th June, 2025 at the 7th Floor, tender box located at the Ministry of Environment Board Room entrance.
SEPARATE SEALED ENVELOPE SHOULD CLEARLY BE MARKED:
‘SUPPLY OF FOREST AND FRUIT TREES AT THE MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT AND FORESTRY’ (and LOT number).
The opening of the tender shall be at 9:30 AM on 12th June, 2025 at the Ministry’s boardroom in the presence of the bidders or their representatives.
The Ministry of Environment and Forestry does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender nor assign reasons for acceptance or rejection of any tender.
Bidders are free to quote for all Lots.
