The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) invites quotations from suitably qualified and interested companies to supply, deliver and fit the following items:
- Electricity ready board
- Door for VIP toilets
- Broken window glass
- Burglar door
- Vertical grey blinds
Location: Thabana-Morena Constituency, Mafeteng
SPECIFICATIONS
1. READY BOARD
Description:
- Switches (light and socket outlets) have a glow-in-the-dark fluorescent indication
- Knockouts for additional circuit breakers and/or auxiliary products
- 15 access points for conduit or twin and earth wire
- Compatible with all prepayment meters
- Bulkhead light (optional)
- Earth leakage protection
- Mounting lugs
- Euro switched socket
- Meets national specifications

5. BURGLAR DOOR AND WINDOWS
5.1 Burglar Door Specification (Office Main Entrance)
Type: Mild Steel Burglar Door
Overall Size:
- Standard single door ± 2100 mm (H) × 900 mm (W)
Material:
- Door frame: 38 × 38 mm square tubing, minimum 1.6 mm thickness
- Door leaf: 25 × 25 mm square tubing, minimum 1.2 mm thickness
Infill:
- Vertical steel bars: 16 mm solid round bars
- Spacing not exceeding 120 mm
Locking System:
- Heavy-duty mortice lock or slam lock
- Provision for padlock protector (optional but recommended)
Hinges:
- Minimum of 3 heavy-duty steel hinges, welded
Finish:
- Anti-rust primer
- Finished with black or dark grey enamel paint
Installation:
- Frame securely anchored into masonry with rawl bolts or welded lugs
5.2 Burglar Window Specification (Office Windows)
Type: Fixed Mild Steel Burglar Proofing

- Bars: 12–16 mm solid round bars
Bar Arrangement:
- Vertical bars preferred
- Spacing not exceeding 120 mm

- To match window opening (e.g., 1190 mm × 465 mm if applicable)
Fixing:
- Welded steel frame
- Anchored into wall with steel lugs cast into masonry

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
- Price must be VAT inclusive for suppliers who qualify to collect VAT (attach VAT registration certificate)
- Attach valid relevant Business Identity Card
- Attach valid copy of Tax Clearance
- Specifications must be written in full on the quotation
- Provide IBR number
- Indicate lead time on the quotation
NB:
- IEC is not bound to the lowest price
- Price must be quoted in Maloti currency
- Quotation must be on company letterhead or bear company stamp
- Companies are not allowed to use IEC logo without authorisation
- Payment will be processed after delivery of service
