What you can expect

Responsible for efficiently and effectively managing the full Supply Chain activities across the board and by creating integrated processes among Operations, Marketing, Procurement and Logistics & Internal Sales in accordance with the companies objectives (Supply and demand of sales for South and Southern Africa). Core responsibilities will include the following:

  • Overall co-ordination of the Local Team Supply Chain Topics based on provided Business Rules
  • Responsible for all KPI Management with LSP (Warehousing & Logistics Service Provider)
  • Management / Keeper NCMs within the realms of Customer Services Related NCMs
  • Responsible to ensure month end closure and reconciliations is completed
  • Receiving, driving and facilitating BU related projects
  • Facilitating individual and team development initiatives
  • Team Reporting on Forecast Accuracy performance, Project status and KPI’s monthly
  • Management & monitoring of processes to ensure optimal Supply Chain flow & efficient checks & balances
  • Ability to negotiate schedules, budgets & resources. Proactive approach to risk management
  • Ensure the interface between marketing forecasting and production is harmonised
  • Avoid overstocking situations by taking seasonality, lifecycle & most recent sales forecast situation into account
  • Ensure adequate supply of raw-materials at all times to ensure continuity of production and customer requirements (e.g. seed treatment)
  • Liaise with suppliers in respect of availability of raw-materials, market information in respect of their raw-materials in order to make strategic decisions on supplier choice and existing order status
  • Ensure SAP system is maintained and responsible for Master Data set-up
  • Integrate new projects within the Supply Chain Cost Saving/ optimization Targets – Ensuring all costs targets are met

What we expect

  • Relevant tertiary education, preferably in Supply Chain but alternatively in Logistics or Procurement
  • 5 years Supply Chain experience including production planning within a Chemical or FMCG space
  • Project Management skills with experience in successfully managing projects
  • Proven track record in dealing with suppliers
  • Computer literate – SAP, Microsoft Office (Intermediary – Advanced level)
