Invitation to Tender

Bidders’ Qualification and Eligibility
- Bids are invited from suitably qualified Motor Garage Licence holders companies for the Supply and Fitting of Tyres for Yellow Plant and Tipper Trucks to Qacha’s Nek District Council for a period of two (2) years, from 2026/2027 to 2028/2029. Bidders are expected to be in compliance with tax obligations and must attach valid copies of Tax Clearance Certificates and Trader’s Licences, certified at the issuing organizations. All bidders must submit a Bid Security of 2%. In order for a company to qualify for bidding, such company must be registered and pay a non‑refundable registration fee of Two Thousand Maloti (M2,000.00). Payment must be made in cash at the Accounts Office, Qacha’s Nek Urban Council. Additional requirements are specified in the tender document.
2. Tender Submission
The original tender response together with three (3) copies, clearly marked “ORIGINAL BID” and “COPY OF BID” as appropriate, each copy enclosed in its own envelope, must be placed in one sealed envelope or package bearing no identification of the bidder and clearly marked:
“SUPPLY AND FITTING OF TYRES FOR YELLOW PLANT AND TIPPER TRUCKS TO DISTRICT COUNCIL QACHA’S NEK”
The sealed envelope must be deposited in the Tender Box situated at Qacha’s Nek Urban Council Hall, next to the Post Office, on or before 09:00 am on 24 April 2026 (closing date).
- Bid Opening: 24 April 2026 at 09:30 am
- Venue: Urban Council Hall
- Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or their representatives.
- Late bids will not be accepted.
- Tenders that are not clearly marked shall be disqualified.
- All bidders shall submit certified copies, not originals certified at source.

The Qacha’s Nek District Council Procurement Committee reserves the right to:
- Cancel the tender before submission or opening,
- Postpone the tender submission and/or opening date, and
- Accept or reject any or all tenders.
The Procurement Committee is not bound to accept the lowest or any bid.
