Supply and Delivery of Food and Hygiene Kits Packages
- Partners In Health Lesotho, through Ministry of Finance has received funds from the Global Fund which are intended to support activities intended to fight against HIV and AIDS, TB and Malaria. Part of the funds will be used to pay for eligible costs of procuring food and hygiene kits packages for MDR-TB Patients housed at PIH Half-Way Homes.
- Partners In Health Lesotho therefore invites sealed bids from interested bidders for the supply and delivery of food and hygiene kits packages. The reference number for this Invitation For Bids (IFB) is: PIH/MDR-TB/food & hygiene kits/01-2020

5. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders at the above address and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of (M500.00) Five hundred Maloti only from 23rd January 2020 during office hours between 08h30 and 16h30. The method of payment will be cash payable at:

Bidders must quote the IFB reference: (PIH/MDR-TB/food& hygiene kits/01-2020) when filling the deposit slip.
6. Clarifications may be requested in writing to ([email protected] ) not later than 27th February 2020
7. Bids must be delivered to the address in 12 below on or before 5th March 2020 at -14h00. Late bids will be rejected.
8. Bids must be valid for a period of 90 days after the bid submission deadline.
9. Currency to be used: Prices shall be quoted in Lesotho Loti (LSL)
10. Bidders must attach the following mandatory documents to their bids:
- Copy of Valid Relevant Trading License certified at source;
- Copy of Valid Relevant Tax Clearance Certificate certified at source;
- Copy of VAT Registration Certificate (for Registered Vendors) certified at source;
- Letter from a registered Bank confirming availability of Credit Line of 30% or more of the bid amount;
- Audited financial statements for the past two (2) financial years as well report from the auditor;
- Bid Security Certificate of 2% of bid amount;
- Business profile of the company.
N.B Evaluation will be done on a “lot by lot” basis.
A Bidder who does not meet the above mandatory requirements maybe disqualified
11. Qualification requirements for award include amongst others:
- General business/operating experience of at least five years.
- At least two years’ business experience in the supply of human food stuffs
- The Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence (e.g. Similar contracts/Purchase orders) to demonstrate that they have supplied human fresh food and hygiene stuffs in the past three years. Those contracts should not be less than M100,000.00
Non-Compliance with any of the above requirements may invalidate bids.
12. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 14h30 on the 5th March 2020 at the address given below:

PIH reserves the right to award the contract to the most responsive and cost effective evaluated bid, to reject any or all of the bids and or to cancel the tendering process if there are circumstances requiring cancellation of the process.
