The Principal Secretary for the Ministry of Education and Training invites sealed bids from eligible suppliers in Furniture and Equipment for the Supply and Delivery of Workshop Equipment in Secondary Schools in 2025/2026.

2. Public Procurement Act 2023
Enacted by the Government of Lesotho and is open to all bidders as defined in Bidding Documents.
3. Bidding Details
Bidders will bid for all items and quantities in each lot and shall be fully priced. Bid evaluation will be on an item-by-item basis per lot.

5. Bidding Documents
A complete set of Bidding Documents in English is obtainable at the address above free of charge. The Bidding Document will be ready for collection on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
6. Submission of Bids
Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before Thursday, June 05, 2025, at 10:00hrs. Late bids will be rejected. Electronic bidding shall not be permitted. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 2% of the bid amount for each lot in the form of a Bank Guarantee.
7. Bid Validity
Bids shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days after the Bid Opening.
8. Mandatory Documents
In addition to the bid security mentioned above, it is mandatory for bidders to submit the following valid documents:
- Valid Tax Clearance Certificates
- Valid Trader’s Licence
- Certificate of Bona Fide Bidding
- Ministry of Public Works registration certificate
- Signed, Stamped, and Completed Audited Financial Statements by a practicing Accountant registered with Lesotho Institute of Accountants (LIA) – attach proof of registration of Auditor
These documents shall either be originals or certified copies from the source (e.g., Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) and Trade Department). Non-compliance with this requirement may invalidate a bid.
9. Qualifications Requirements
Qualifications requirements for award include amongst others per lot:
- Business experience of not less than three years in similar jobs
- Successful completion of similar contracts of not less than a total of M100,000.00 in the past three years
- Evidence that the bidder/tenderer has capital or lines of credit of at least 50% of own bid amount
10. Pre-Bid Meeting
A pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 13th, 2025 at 10:00hrs at Education Facilities Unit.
11. Bid Opening
Bids will be opened at the address given below in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend on Thursday, June 5th, 2025 at 09:30hrs.
