Background
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition has received financing from the Government of Lesotho toward the cost of Agricultural Inputs and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under Call‑off Contracts that may be awarded under the Framework Agreements (FAs) concluded through this procurement process.
Scope of Procurement
The Ministry invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply and delivery of agricultural inputs, including:
- Field crop seeds
- Vegetable seeds
- Pesticides
Framework Agreement Details
- The procurement will result in Framework Agreements (FAs)
- The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition is the sole purchaser (Single‑User)
- The Framework Agreements will be Multi‑Supplier
- The Framework Agreement term will be 2 years
- (Note: The initial term cannot exceed 3 years from commencement date)
- A Closed Framework Agreement will be established
Important Notes
- Selection of suppliers for Call‑off Contracts will be conducted through Secondary Procurement processes
- The conclusion of a Framework Agreement:
- Does not guarantee award of Call‑off Contracts
- Does not obligate the Ministry to purchase goods
