About the Role
The Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of General Workers, ensuring that assigned tasks are completed efficiently and safely while adhering to company policies and regulations. This role reports directly to the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Management
- Lead, guide, and motivate a team of employees.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities based on individual skills and roles.
- Monitor employee performance and provide regular feedback, coaching, and mentoring.
- Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Operational Oversight
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the team.
- Ensure tasks are completed efficiently and meet company standards.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Monitor workflow and adjust as needed to meet goals and deadlines.
- Identify areas for improvement in processes and efficiency.
Performance Management
- Set performance goals aligned with company objectives.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify training and development needs for employees.
- Recognize and reward good performance, while addressing performance issues.
Communication and Coordination
- Communicate essential information between management and team members.
- Relay company strategies, plans, and objectives to the team.
- Provide updates and reports on team performance to management.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure the team adheres to company policies and safety regulations.
- Promote and enforce a safe working environment.
Talent Management
- Participate in the hiring process for new team members.
- Identify and develop high-performing staff.
- Address performance problems and implement disciplinary actions when necessary (in consultation with HR).
Resource Management
- Ensure the team has the necessary materials, equipment, and resources to perform their work.
- Monitor and manage department budgets (if applicable).
Qualifications and Skills
- COSC or Any Commercial Diploma (additional short courses will be an advantage).
