JOB  DESCRIPTIONS

Under  the  supervision  of  Station  Fire  Officer,  Subordinate  Fireman  is responsible  for:

1.  Schedules  watch  roster  for  fire  crew  to  do  their  work  properly.

2.   Allocates  daily  riding  position  of  fire  crew  to  ensure  prompt  response  to  accidents  or  incidents  calls.

3.   Fills  vehicles  logbooks  for  daily  movement  of  fire  vehicles  to  ensure proper  use.

4.   Take  watch  leadership  to  ensure  that  fire  personnel  comply  with  service instructions.

5.   Inspects   airport   building   operation   installation       (e.g.,   hose,   reels, sprinklers,  etc.)  in  three-month  period  for  proper  serviceability.

6.   Receives  major  defects  of  fire  engine  from  Leading  Fireman.

7.   Inspects  perimeter  roads  and  emergency  gates  of  the  Airport  to  ensuresecurity  and  also  inspects  fire  hydrants  for  sufficient  water  supply.

SPECIFICATIONS

COSC  /  LGCSE  plus  successful  completion  of  at  least  Basic  Firemanship  or Leading  Fireman  certificate  of  competence  course  from  a  recognised training  institution.

OR

GCE  with  at  least  three  (3)  subjects  passes  plus  successful  completion  of  at least  Basic  Firemanship  or  Leading  Fireman  certificate  of  competence course  from  a  recognised  training  institution.

OTHER  NECESSARY  KNOWLEDGE

•   Basic  First  and  paramedic.

•     Knowledge  of  up-to-date  fire-fighting  media  equipment  and  structural  of
      modern  civil  aircraft  construction.

•   A  valid  heavy  duty  driver’s  license
