Strengthening Child Protection Capacities

The Office of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict and the Permanent Mission of Malta to the United Nations, together with the Permanent Missions of Belgium, the Republic of Korea, Mozambique, the United Arab Emirates and Uruguay to the United Nations, and the European Union Delegation to the United Nations, have the pleasure to invite you to an event ahead of the five-year anniversary on the adoption of Resolution 2427 (2018) on “Strengthening Child Protection Capacities through Increasing Knowledge, Competencies and Skills of Actors Contributing to the Implementation of the CAAC Agenda”.

The event is aimed at all Member States, UN entities, civil society representatives and others who have a stake in the implementation of the children and armed conflict mandate, and will highlight the need to reinforce specific child protection training to strengthen capacity within the UN as well as with Member States, including troop- and police-contributing countries, Regional Organizations, Academia, Civil Society and others.
