Strategic Planning & Governance Consultant
Call for Proposals
NECDOL is seeking a qualified local consultant to facilitate a comprehensive institutional capacity-building initiative.
Scope of Work
The consultant will deliver a blended capacity-building intervention consisting of:
- 4-Day Intensive Workshop: Lead a residential workshop for NECDOL and five (5) member CSOs/CBOs
- Strategy Development: Guide participants in drafting 3–5 year strategic plans and fundraising strategies
- 3-Month Mentorship: Provide light-touch post-workshop coaching to support the finalisation of institutional documents
- Reporting: Document learning outcomes and submit a final project report
Project Objectives
- Build Capacity: Strengthen strategic planning, leadership, and governance systems
- Drive Sustainability: Equip organisations to transition from survival mode to strategic growth
- Secure Funding: Enable the creation of resource mobilisation plans aligned with donor requirements
Key Deliverables
- One completed capacity-building workshop
- Five (5) capacitated organisations
- Five (5) finalised, donor-aligned strategic plans and policies
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in NGO governance and strategic planning
- Demonstrated expertise in resource mobilisation and internal income generation
- Strong facilitation and mentorship skills within the CSO/CBO sector
- Deep understanding of the local non-profit landscape
