Duties

Under the direct supervision of the Country Director, the incumbent serves as the Monitoring and Evaluation Team Lead for the CDC Lesotho office and shares oversight responsibilities for the development and implementation of public health-related technical program activities and has direct responsibility for day-to-day coordination of program strategic information management activities that implement or support areas that can include epidemiology and surveillance, Health Management Information System (HMIS), Survey and Surveillances, and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activities under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) program.  Duties and responsibilities include program planning and development, supervision of one (1) Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist and serving as Activity Manager for strategic information cooperative agreements. As Monitoring and Evaluation Team Lead, incumbent ensures that all monitoring and evaluation activities contribute to measurable results that are in accordance with agency regulations, PEPFAR strategic objectives, international ethical guidelines, and standards for public health care.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:  A minimum of five years progressively responsible, professional-level experience working in Monitoring and Evaluation or Strategic Information is required.
Education Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in public health, demography, mathematics, statistics, epidemiology, or monitoring and evaluation is required. 

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:  Level IV (fluent) reading/speaking/writing English is required.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.Other Information:
