PURPOSE OF THE POSITION T

o receive, store and control stock items from suppliers and to issue to departments and / or contractors. To safeguard company assets by the overall management of the company stock and the usage thereof.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & RELATED EXPERIENCE

• Supply Chain Management / BCom / General Accounting Degree or Diploma

• Degree or Diploma in Logistics/ Procurement (Advantageous)

• 5 Years’ Experience in a Stores/Procurement environment

• 5 Years’ Experience on inventory software systems

• 5 Years’ Stores/Warehouse experience

• Exposure to materials buying in a mining environment and knowledge of logistics handling

• Highly skilled in Microsoft Applications (Advanced Level)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Stock Valuation Report

• Daily Issuances Report

• Daily Receipts Report

• Housekeeping – Neat Stores area

• Zero tolerance Real time Count reports

• Zero tolerance cycle Count report

• Stock replenishment

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Ensure stock is kept organised and secure

• Ensure transactions are correctly recorded from source documents to the Software System

• Conduct periodical stock counts, real-time stock adjustments and daily diesel count and reconciliations

• Works as a Cataloguer to analyse trends and manage levels

• Ensure critical spares are always available

• Manage and supervise staff

• Ensure compliance and adherence to Stores and HSE policies, procedures and best practices and report any irregularities

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping to ensure a clean and organised stores and diesel environment.

• Report any suspected wastage and theft

• Financial reporting at the end of the month

• High Level of reporting skills

• The ability to listen carefully and to use clear, concise oral and written skills to convey facts, present positions and interpret policies

• Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability on all levels

• High literacy and numerical skills

• Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills and high confidence in stating professional opinions

• Extremely strong Excel skills, especially advanced costing modelling and analytical techniques
