To ensure all equipment is delivered to the respective customers correctly and in the required condition and timeously. Responsible and accountable for the efficient operation of the receiving and maintaining of all stock items

REPORTING TO: Stores Supervisor

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Stores Operation

• Receive materials as per the receiving procedure and SAP Process
• Do simple quality checks on selected materials
• Bin materials in correct Bins according to SAP and to facilitate FIFO
• Do daily material counts as required from the MRP Controller whilst issuing and binning the materials.
• Report any out of stock or discrepancies
• Issue materials as per issuing procedure and deliver said materials to the plant or arrange delivery with equipment drivers
• Relocate materials to new storage bins as and when required
• Ensure that the physical stock in the bin is as per SAP
• Obtain licenses to operate vehicles within the stores including overhead crane
• Do the materials maintenance activities as per schedule
• Co-ordinate with plant on receiving and delivering of materials
• Complete the after-hours delivery Log Book daily and the issuing of PPE

SHEQ

• Create a safe work environment by identifying and managing day to day risks
• Accountable to ensure adherence to all safety BP’s, procedures and BBS practices.
• Ensure adherence to specific regulatory requirements
• Do stores housekeeping walkabout and inspections to take corrective action where required
• Achieve 5S status in area of responsibility
• Perform Waste Separation and Disposal to ensure no overflowing of waste bins

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
• Stores related tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
• EB Motor vehicle license
• 1 Years clerical and engineering store experience
