Reports To: Operations Manager
Location: Mohale’s Hoek, Lits’oeneng
Position Overview
Mdlokovana Motor Spares and Tyres is seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual for the position of Stock Controller. The role ensures optimal stock levels, accuracy, and availability of supplies. Duties include tracking incoming and outgoing goods, coordinating with suppliers and warehouse staff, and preventing shortages or overstocking.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory lists, update computer systems, track stock levels, and process incoming/outgoing parts and shipments.
- Ordering & Procurement: Place purchase orders; verify deliveries against orders; assist with stock counting; identify parts requiring restocking to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Logistics: Oversee receiving processes; ensure correct parts are loaded for delivery; assist with shipping operations.
- Forecasting & Analysis: Use sales data and business needs to forecast demand and plan purchasing strategies.
- Auditing & Reporting: Conduct regular stock audits; maintain records of purchases and pricing; compile stock balance reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with purchasing, sales, and supervise warehouse staff for efficient inventory flow.
- Quality Control: Identify damaged inventory and ensure supplied parts meet quality standards.
- Ensure storeroom is cleaned according to set standards.
- Assist with bin locating and overall storeroom administration.
Minimum Requirements
- Certificate/Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
- 2–5 years working experience in a related field
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and sound time‑management abilities
