Mohale FM, Lesotho’s first ever truly independent News and current affairs radio station with no connections to any sectoral interests or political parties, is due for launch on or before 01 June 2022. The station would thus wish to recruit for the following key vacancies:
STATION MANAGER
- The station manager shall be responsible for the day to day operations of Mohale FM and act as a liaison between the employees and owner of the station
- He/She shall oversee the various departments of the station and must ensure that various industry regulations ans guidelines are upheld
Other key responsibilities - Hire and train employees or oversee the hiring and training of employees by department managers
- Negotiate contracts with on- air personalities
- Liaise with programming director in order to determine the format of the station
- Troubleshoot problems in the operation of the station
- Contract repair and maintenance services for faulty or damaged equipment
- Handle all complaints, questions or requests for information regarding the station
- Develop budget plans and operate within their parameters
- Network with other businesses. agencies and organizations to increase the market for advertising
Mohale FM is an equal opportunity employer and is looking for experienced competent and hardworking candidates to fill these posts. A minimum of 5 years experience and relevant education in media, communications or broadcasting (preferably at degree level) is required for the Station Manager’s post while 3 years experience and the relevant Diploma or Degree in media or related subjects will suffice for the other posts.
