VACANCY NOTICE
STATION MANAGER
Mohale FM, Lesotho’s first ever radio station, not controlled or run by political party hacks, is upping its programming schedule. It is therefore seeking the services of a professional station manager, whose only obsession will be the station’s ethical guidelines to provide unfiltered news and current affairs to serve Basotho, coupled with educational programming to help equip citizens with information to improve their effectiveness in their arears of endeavor.
Location: Maseru

Key Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the development and delivery of radio programmes.
• Oversee presenters, producers, and content creators to ensure quality, relevance, and consistency across shows.
• Monitor and evaluate programme performance to align with audience needs and station objectives.
• Develop new show concepts, formats, and scheduling strategies.
• Ensure compliance with broadcasting regulations, station policies, and community standards.
• Collaborate with the staff on strategic planning, marketing, and audience engagement.
• Manage talent development through mentorship, training, and performance reviews.
• Represent the station at external meetings, events, and regulatory engagements when required.
Requirements
• Degree or Diploma in Media Studies, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of seven years’ experience in radio broadcasting, with at least three years in a leadership or programming role.
• Strong understanding of content creation, audience engagement, and broadcast regulations.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Sesotho and English (spoken and written).
• Ability to manage diverse teams and work under pressure.
• Creative thinker with a passion for community-driven programming.
