Startup World Cup is a series of startup conferences and competitions that welcomes all stages of tech startups to join and compete to win US$1,000,000.
The Startup World Cup Lesotho Regional Competition was launched officially at the TechCon Lesotho 2019 (technology conference).
Basali Tech has partnered with Pegasus Tech Ventures, a Silicon Valley VC to enable Basotho to participate at the largest startup pitch competition hosted in the United States of America.
It consists of 30+ regional startup competitions in 30+ different countries around the world. The top startups of each region will be flown to Silicon Valley for the Grand Finale event, where they will compete for US $1,000,000 prize in investment.
These startups will pitch in front of a distinguished judging panel, including judges from top Silicon Valley investment firms. The main event is held in May in San Francisco.
Startup World Cup is led by Pegasus Tech Ventures. Pegasus is a native of Silicon Valley with presence in 14 different countries globally. Pegasus’ limited partners are large corporations from around the world, and Pegasus has been leveraging its strong global network to connect startup ecosystems.
