Background

Hi, I’m John, the Controller at Customer.io. We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing team.

As a Staff Accountant and second member of our Finance team, we’ll work together to support and maintain the financial needs of the company and its team members. This role will have a direct impact on the company by contributing to the development, maintenance, and review of annual operating budgets and rolling forecasts, as well as supporting the day-to-day functions needed for our team.

Some things you’ll do…

  • Review and process vendor invoices for payment in QuickBooks
  • Review, categorize, and post credit card charges to QuickBooks
  • Run payroll reports and create payroll journal entries
  • Run 401K reports and generate submission to third party administrator
  • Support our team by processing invoices for payment international and contract team members
  • Maintain daily and monthly cash reports
  • Assist with various month and year end closing tasks
  • Help review and maintain financial forecast
  • Assist with the design and implementation of a new credit card, bill payment, and expense reimbursement process
  • Setup tools and process for better tracking and recording of overtime hours for non-exempt employees

  • Based in UTC -4 to -7 (North or South America) to maximize working hours overlap

What we’re looking for…

  • Experience in a public accounting firm or private corporate environment
  • Experience working with QuickBooksOnline
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced Excel skills

We are offering a starting salary of $65,000 – $70,000 USD depending on experience and subject to market rate.
