We are looking for a Specialist – Supplier Development who will be responsible for the implementation of the Supplier Development (SD) strategy. The Specialist will work closely with the Mine’s Procurement Sourcing and Supplier Development teams to execute on the SD plan, through the development and support of identified qualifying SD beneficiaries.
Reporting to the Supplier Development Manager, you will:
- Be responsible for Development and adherence to the Code of Good Practice for Broad Base Black Economic Empowerment
- Facilitate DMRE SD audit process
- Be responsible for the Supplier Development beneficiary identification
- Conducting Needs Analysis for the selected beneficiaries,
- Identifying key and critical areas of development,
- Training (business, finance etc.),
- Mentoring and/or coaching,
- Business support (planning, finance, marketing etc.),
- Develop and present business cases on behalf of the SD beneficiaries,
- Infrastructure development and support (where applicable and relevant),
- Develop a comprehensive reporting system for the programme,
- Ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of the programmes
- Identify SD beneficiaries who need funding for their businesses and assist the businesses to package mineable application to be submitted for credit assessment,
- Ensure that all loan applications meet the set RBM credit application eligibility criteria, requirements and standards;
- Monitor the loan beneficiaries and report any possible risks to either RBM or SD beneficiaries;
- Provide Pre and Post RFP support which include submission assistance and gap remediation the analyst will provide support in Pricing, Technical response in accordance to scope requirement, innovation and product/service differentiator, quality Management of Proposal responses and value Proposition
What you’ll bring

- Valid drivers’ license (EB)
- Bachelor degree Business Management / Economics/Accounting or related field.
- Certificate in Project Management
- 3-5 years’ preferential procurement knowledge
- At least 1-year project management experience
- Minimum of five (5) years’ management level experience in enterprise development / business management / entrepreneurship and / or related field
- Experience with Socio Economic Development Operations and Community development programs
- Good Understanding of market dynamics and trends
- Knowledge and understanding of the tools, resources and systems used in enterprise development and growth
- Strong understanding of and ability to give input into small business value chains
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and one other official language preferably isiZulu
- Strong leadership & communication skills
- Assertiveness and diplomacy
