The H band Specialist: Strategic Planning role based within Technology Business Unit.
The role of the Specialist: Strategic Planning is responsible for all strategic planning activities within the radio domain as well as special planning projects and scenarios i.e. Seasonal Peak Traffic planning, Rollout planning, Radio Budget planning, New products and services impact to network modelling etc.
Your Responsibilities will include:
- Conduct traffic impact studies to model the effect of new services on network infrastructure

Coordination of all network planning activities with a view to linking budget to growth projections and facilitating harmonious expansion for coverage and capacity

Formulate and oversee implementation of big data use cases for prioritised budget and rollout planning

Geographic information and network data analyses for ad-hoc requests
The ideal candidate for this role will have:

In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will have an in depth knowledge and understanding:

At least 5 years’ experience Radio Planning & Optimisation of GSM, UMTS and LTE access networks

At least 3 years’ experience in SQL, script development or other large dataset manipulation methods

At least 3 years experience in GIS systems and Tools advantageous

Knowledge of large telco budgeting process an advantage
The base location for this role is Midrand, Commercial Park
