SPECIALIST REVENUE ASSURANCE

Role Purpose

The Specialist Revenue Assurance delivers revenue and cost assurance for Vodacom through design, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of controls on all GSM and Mobile Money products. The Specialist will be reporting to the Manager Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management.


Key Deliverables

• Ensure integrity of the GSM and mobile money platforms (HLR, PCRF, CRM systems, charging platforms, G2).
• Reconcile all Voice, Data and SMS usage, P2P, B2C/C2B and B2B transactions across all business support systems to ensure completeness.
• Reconcile transactions with content (Value Added Services), third parties to ensure completeness and accuracy to prevent and/or resolve payments disputes.
• To ensure complete and accurate rating of all GSM products: Voice, Data and SMS, mobile money transactions: Fees and commissions to assure regulatory compliance.
• Design and implement controls to ensure Revenue Leakage prevention prior to launch of new products or change to existing products.
• Apply independent checks on applicable commissions (payable, receivable) to ensure accuracy.
• Conduct research and advise management on the latest revenue leakages and fraud trends.
• Align with Vodacom Enterprise, Consumer, and Mobile Money Product Design teams to ensure alignment with Vodacom best practice guidelines.
• Apply and deliver the above KPIs on GSM, Mobile Money as well as Fraud management as required.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Information Systems/Computer Science/Business Analytics or relevant tertiary qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years in telecommunications is desirable
• 1 – 2 years’ experience SQL, PL/SQL knowledge/certification (essential)
• Programming experience (advantageous)
• Risk management, Fraud Management, Business analysis and process management knowledge (advantageous)
• Data science experience (advantageous)
