The incumbent shall report to the Legal Affairs Manager and be responsible to fully support the company’s strategic objectives through the provision of Legal advisory, contract management, effective management of legal risks and litigation.
Job Responsibility
- Legal advisory and risk management – conduct legal research, provide legal advice to different business units and maintain an effective risk management system.
- Compliance management – ensure that business operates in compliance with applicable laws
- Contract management – negotiate, review, prepare and execute contracts taking into account the legal implications and ensure that the company’s commercial interests are maintained.
- Litigation management – prepare necessary documentation and represent the company in the courts of law where business initiates or defends legal action.
Requirements
- LLB
- Admission to practice
- Demonstrate excellent legal research skills, statutory interpretation and administrative law skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and exercise judgement on legal issues.
- Good verbal and written communication.
