What you’ll do

Role Purpose 
Identifies performance problems with assigned equipment, coordinates and schedules repairs, and recommends alternate hardware options

Key Accountabilities
⦁    Ensuring that all user access complies with Vodacom security policies
⦁    Maintain high availability of windows systems such as Active Directory and Exchange servers.
⦁    Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults 
⦁    Attend all support of VMware environment and escalate issues to outsourced support team 
⦁    Ensure that all proper documentation such as systems architectures, configuration documents are always available 
⦁    Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.  Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required 
⦁    Ensure that all systems have Technical recovery plans 
⦁    Perform periodic performance checks for support capacity planning.

Competencies
⦁    Knowledge of Windows Servers
⦁    Experienced with Windows Active Directory and Exchange servers
⦁    Report writing and presentation skills

Certifications
⦁    MCSA: Windows Server 2016
⦁    CompTIA Security+
⦁    AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
⦁    Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
⦁    ITIL Foundation
⦁    Microsoft Azure Administrator
⦁    VMware Certified Professional: Data Center & Network Virtualization

Qualifications and Experience
⦁     Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or relevant tertiary qualification
⦁        Minimum of 5 years in IT systems support is required
